THE CBN EXTENSION OF BVN REGISTRATION DEADLINE TO OCT. 31ST

 This is to notify the general public that The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN), yesterday extended the deadline for customers to enroll for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) by four months till October 31,2015. by 12 noon.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BVN

The BVN, a central bank initiative, which was launched in February 2014, is being supported by the bankers’ committee.The BVN is a unique number that enables one person to have a single identity in the banking system. It basically ensures that a customer’s identity is not stolen.

HOW MANY TO REGISTER 

A customer is only expected to register at one bank, irrespective of the number of accounts he has.

STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR BVN

Go to your bank with your bank detail and get the enrollment form and make sure that all the information needed is been filled in.then after make sure they do the following:

• Collect the information form from you,

• Snap your face,

• Take your thumb print,

• Sign your signature,

• Then wait for you bvn on a sheet of pepper or as mobile text.,

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT

If you have more than one account you don't need to go for double registration because you are operating more than one account,all you need to do is to take the bvn number they gave you in your mobile text to your second bank account ask for bvn account update form and fill it and submit it back.That all.
