General Requirements For Admission Into fuwukari(Taraba state)
The following is the admission requirements for all the candidates to be admitted into the university. Candidates must show evidence of possessing the prerequisite qualifications before being admitted into various faculties and departments.


UTME REQUIREMENTS

Admission into the university is open to candidates with the requisite qualifications. All applicants for admission into the University must attain sixteen (16) years of age; although provision is made for exceptionally gifted students. The admission requirements into the undergraduate programmes for 2015/2016 academic session are as follows:

    admission into the university is open to all irrespective of religion, ethnic group, gender, creed and disability;
    all admissions into the university is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB);
    for admission to 100 Level (via UTME), candidates must: obtain five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings including credit passes in English and Mathematics; and attain acceptable points in UTME in relevant subjects;
    credit passes in English Language and Mathematics shall be compulsory for admission into all programmes EXCEPT English and Literary Studies and History and Diplomatic Studies where credit pass in mathematics is not required.



DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For admission by direct entry (200 Level), candidates shall, in addition to having relevant five (5) SSCE credits, obtain at least two (2) A’ level (or its equivalent) passes in relevant subjects, or possess ND with credit passes, or possess a good first degree in another field
as the case may be.
